I absolutely love the work I get a chance
to do. It is an honor to work with so many diverse and talented people.
This has been a gift and an inspiration to me over the years.
I have a passion for photographically embracing each person's individuality
and personality. This is achieved by listening and working collaboratively
with all clients. By providing a private, comfortable studio space
where people can relax, have a cup of coffee or tea, listen to music
and chat about goals for the photo session or just life in general.
Born: Minneapolis, MN. Though
I traveled around the world, I’m too rooted here to actually
live anywhere else.
Early beginnings: I started out making films, approached photography
only to hone my technical skills as a filmmaker. Was immediately swayed
by how much an impact a single frame can have. Discovered the challenge
of telling a story with just one frame; still enthralled with the
challenge today.
Favorite Subject: One could never get bored photographing people.
There is a perfect beauty in every person. Honestly. (Trees and alleys
are next on the list.)
Poets I love: Mary Oliver, Kenneth Patchen, EE. Cummings, there
is always more.
Favorite thing to do on a day off: Biking around the city exploring
neighborhoods. Browsing through bookstores.
Favorite Quote: “It is only with
the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible
to the eye.” -St. Exupery, The Little Prince
