Before Your Session
I want everyone to feel completely comfortable during their photography session and preparation is a big part of that. Here are some tips to help you feel confident and look your best.
Wardrobe Tips
Selecting the right wardrobe is all about expressing your personal style.
Color Harmony
Choose colors that complement your features, such as eye color, skin tone, and hair. Darker or jewel tone solids usually work well, while white or light tones can add brightness but risk looking washed out.
Variety is Key
Opt for a mix of basic options and ones that break the rules or are more playful. Consider having both dark and light choices to balance your look.
Fabric Matters
Opt for heavier or form-fitting fabrics that resist wrinkling, especially if you'll be moving around. This ensures your outfit looks sharp and polished.
Necklines
V-neck or scoop necklines are universally flattering and can enhance your overall appearance.
Undergarments
Choose undergarments that won’t show through clothing under studio lights.
Sleeve Options
Bring along long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve options for versatility in your photoshoot.
Makeup Artists
Working with a makeup artist can help you look and feel your best.
I partner with experienced makeup artists who understand my lighting and photography style and can enhance your features for all ages and skin tones.
Artists bring all necessary supplies, but you’re welcome to bring any favorite cosmetics or hair products.
The goal of headshot makeup is polished, fresh, and natural — your headshot should always look like you, just on a really good day.
Payment:
Payment is due on the day of your session. Dani Werner Photography accepts cash, checks,
Venmo, or credit cards — whichever is most convenient.
